Line-Interactive UPS

A Line-Interactive UPS is an uninterruptible power supply designed to protect IT hardware against power outages, undervoltage and overvoltage. During normal operation, connected equipment is supplied directly from the mains. Integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation can correct voltage fluctuations within defined limits without switching to battery power. If the mains supply fails or the voltage moves outside the acceptable range, the battery supplies power through an inverter. This process involves a short transfer time. Line-Interactive UPS systems are commonly used to protect servers, network switches, routers, storage systems and other IT infrastructure. They provide a balance between power protection and acquisition cost, making them particularly suitable for environments with a generally stable mains power supply.
