(HA) Network High Availability
Network High Availability, or HA, refers to concepts and technologies designed to maintain continuous availability of networks and network services. Critical components such as switches, routers, firewalls, network connections and power supplies can be deployed redundantly. If a component or connection fails, an alternative system can take over its function. Technologies such as failover, link aggregation, redundant routing paths and high-availability clusters support these network architectures. The objective is to prevent individual failures from causing extended interruptions to network operations. Network High Availability is particularly important in data centres, enterprise networks and business-critical IT infrastructures where reliable network connectivity and minimal downtime are essential.
