Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
AES stands for "Advanced Encryption Standard" and is a widely adopted method for symmetric encryption of digital data. The same cryptographic key is used to encrypt and decrypt information. AES supports key lengths of 128, 192 and 256 bits, providing different levels of security. The encryption standard combines strong data protection with efficient processing and is used across a wide range of IT environments. Typical applications include Wi-Fi connections, VPNs, storage systems, cloud services and cybersecurity solutions. AES-256 is particularly common in environments with demanding data protection and information security requirements. As an established encryption standard, AES plays a key role in protecting sensitive business data, digital communications and IT infrastructures.
