Heatmap

A Heatmap is a graphical representation of data in which different values or intensities are visualised using colours or colour gradients. In IT and networking, Heatmaps are commonly used to analyse Wi-Fi coverage, signal strength, network utilisation or user activity. A Wi-Fi Heatmap can show how wireless signal strength varies across different areas of a building and help identify coverage gaps or interference. This information supports the effective placement of access points and optimisation of wireless network infrastructure. Heatmaps are also used in data analysis, IT monitoring and website analytics. By presenting large volumes of data visually, they make it easier to identify relevant patterns, potential weaknesses and areas with particularly high levels of activity or utilisation.
