Refurbishment
Refurbishment refers to the professional reconditioning of used IT hardware with the aim of returning it to the market. The process comprises a technical inspection on arrival, audit-compliant erasure of all data, cleaning of the equipment, replacement of worn components such as fans, power supplies or drives, firmware updates, and final functional and stress testing. Equipment processed includes switches, routers, firewalls, servers, storage systems and telephone systems. For businesses, this results in lower procurement costs and short-term availability even for discontinued models. The extended service life simultaneously reduces the volume of electronic waste and the material required for new production. At it-market, reconditioning is carried out in the company's own technical department by certified staff, and refurbished goods are covered by a three-year warranty.
