UPS Racks

UPS Racks are rack systems or rack configurations designed to accommodate Uninterruptible Power Supply systems and associated components. They are commonly used in server rooms, data centres and network environments and enable power protection equipment to be integrated into standard 19-inch rack infrastructure. Depending on the configuration, additional battery modules, power distribution units and management components can be installed alongside the UPS. During a power failure, the integrated UPS temporarily supplies connected servers, switches, storage systems and other IT hardware with electrical power. Depending on the UPS technology, the system can also compensate for voltage fluctuations and other power disturbances. Important planning factors include power requirements, required runtime, rack space, cooling, cabling and the weight of battery modules.
