WPA3-Enterprise

WPA3-Enterprise is a Wi-Fi security configuration designed for organisations that require centrally managed user and device authentication. Like WPA2-Enterprise, it uses IEEE 802.1X and the Extensible Authentication Protocol, or EAP, together with an authentication server such as RADIUS. This enables individual users or devices to be authenticated and access rights to be managed centrally. WPA3-Enterprise uses modern cryptographic mechanisms and introduces additional security requirements compared with WPA2-Enterprise. For environments with particularly demanding security requirements, WPA3-Enterprise also defines an optional 192-bit security mode. Actual security depends on factors including the EAP method used, correct certificate validation and secure configuration of the wireless infrastructure. WPA3-Enterprise is particularly suitable for enterprise networks with increased requirements for Wi-Fi security and access control.
