Network technology for every application 

CommScope can already look back on a long company history. After starting out as a product line of Superior Continental Cable in 1953, the Comm/Scope division was founded in 1961. In 1976, Frank Drendel and Jearld Leonhardt founded the independent company CommScope on the existing Comm/Scope foundation. Since then, CommScope has developed into a leading provider of communications infrastructures operating worldwide. The acquisition of RUCKUS by CommScope took place in 2019. 

RUCKUS, on the other hand, was founded in 2004 by William Kish and Victor Shtrom and specializes primarily in Wi-Fi products and their further development. Following acquisitions of Brocade (2016) and ARRIS (2017), RUCKUS now operates as a CommScope brand and is a major player in the field of wired and wireless network technology.
